As Orwell puts it, “Who controls the past controls the future”. Russia did want to engrave russianness artificially - and did it in the past. Now the history repeats itself, and once again russia encourages the russian world in Donbas.

The swarm of thoughts that prompt disobedience. The yellow-blue flags that gleam are seen all over the place. And the people with an infinite urge for freedom. They strived for freedom, strived not to be smeared by the unjust regime of Yanukovych. Under the pressure of the barricades, the rumble of Molotov cocktails and the strength of the gunmen cues, Ukrainians continued manifesting their values.

Within the last few days, the world has unveiled Ukrainians as the nation of courageous and indomitable people who relentlessly struggle for their freedom 🇺🇦

We showed our enemy what they should expect if they jeopardize our dignity - a core value of Ukrainians. Democracy and freedom are our beliefs. EU and NATO are our paths. That's an integral part of our identity we can't abandon.

❓ What makes Ukrainians who they are? Not every foreigner can answer this question.
